Peanut Brand

Being a parent is wonderful, but it’s tough and it can be lonely. Women need a modern solution to connect with each other.

Peanut is a new app that connects like minded mothers in their neighbourhood. With Peanut, it’s easy to arrange playdates, schedule events, join local groups, ask questions and share advice on trending topics.

Peanut currently boasts more than 600,000 female members, generating 200 million swipes. We have been noticed by Apple and featured numerous times on the App Store and called a “Mother of all social networks”. We even made it to the Best Apps of 2017 list and got our very own article in The New York Times.

I joined Peanut in September 2016 as lead designer. While at Peanut, I was responsible for designing brand identity and mobile app. I also assisted in art directing multiple photoshoots and partnership initiatives.

Core objective of the project was to design a product-driven identity for modern motherhood. At the time, there were no existing, mobile-based, solutions for parents that wouldn’t feel like they’re designed for children instead of adults. The challenge was to make the motherhood feel confident, cool and to unite like-minded women through the app community.

Full case study coming soon.
